How to Identify and Select Healing Crystals: Part Six Crystal Grids and Monoclinic Crystals
Monoclinic Crystal System
The next crystal system we will look at is called the Monoclinic Crystal System. Monoclinic crystals have an internal lattices in the shape of parallelograms like the one pictured below. They have 3 unequal axes, of which, only two cross one another at 90° angles. Because of their internal structure, most Monoclinic Crystals are opaque.
Crystal Grids
Crystals in the Monoclinic Crystal System can be used on crystal grids when we are looking to guard or protect. When your intention is to protect yourself, your family or even your home and material possessions from harm, choose crystals from the Monoclinic System to use on your grids. Monoclinic Crystals can be used to protect and guard us on a spiritual level as well. They can assist us guard our spiritual beliefs and our connection to the Divine against seeds of doubt. This allows us to remain on on our spiritual path while maintaining our connection with our higher power. Monoclinic crystals also assist us spiritually by guarding us from acting out of character and remaining composed during stressful and trying situations. Keeping erratic behavior and emotions in check can be difficult at times, but when we act out of character we always regret our behavior and the damaging consequences it can have. When someone or something tempts you to act out, choose Monoclinic crystals on your grids to guard your temperament.
Healing crystals that fall under the Monoclinic Crystal System include: Azurite, Chrysocolla, Chaorite, Moonstone, Fuchsite, Lepidolite, Jade, Selenite, Serpentine, Howlite, Malachite, Unakite, Seraphinite, Stilbite and Dalmatian Stone.
